Edward Holbeck comes from a prestigious and wealthy family. Harriet Reed (Harry) is an orphan after a horrific car accident that killed her parents. She’s so happy to join his family until she realizes that Edward’s family likes to play games… like really elaborate cruel games. She has a secret of her own which her future father-in-law is constantly holding over her head.

This book took a dark turn for me. The whole “game” thing really confused me and I’m still not sure why the whole family went along with these hijinks. The ending was a little crazy but it tied up all the loose ends. 3/5
