Ella MacKenzie is a single mother of twins in Telluride, Colorado who runs a Bed and Breakfast. Beckett Gentry is in deployment for a Special Ops unit. Ella’s brother Mac is Beckett’s best friend. He convinces them to be pen pals. This way, they each have someone to talk to. 

I really loved this book. However, it was excessively tragic. Why does this poor girl have to deal with so much tragedy in her young life? It will shatter you to a million pieces. Only pick it up if you’re ready for a really good, therapeutic cry.
