Archer Hale lost everyone important to him at a young age and to protect his heart, he became a recluse. Bree Prescott comes to town after her own tragedy hoping to gain some peace. The two meet and develop a friendship. Archer doesn’t speak due to a childhood accident so their relationship goes beyond words.

It was a good book but way too over the top lovey dovey for me. Their co-dependent relationship was a lot. What I did love was the warmth of small town living – the characters from town really becoming Bree’s family. 3/5
