Anna and Marco Conti leave their 6 month old baby Cora asleep in her crib while they go to a dinner party next door. Their baby-sitter had cancelled and Anna had been dealing with postpartum depression so Marco thought it would be nice for her to relax a bit. They had the audio for the baby monitor and took turns checking on Cora every 30 minutes religiously. When they get home, Cora is missing from her crib. The rest of the book is trying to find Cora unharmed while also figuring out who’s to blame.

I really liked this book and felt for Anna so much my heart hurt. 5/5
