Brooke Sullivan just got a job working as a nurse practitioner at a men’s maximum security prison. Her first boyfriend and the father of her 10 year old son is a prisoner named Shane. He’s there due to the testimonies of her and her friend Tim who were both there the night he tried to kill Brooke and murdered their other friends. Shane has maintained his innocence throughout his sentence.
I can’t say much more without giving anything away but I really hated the character of Brooke. She goes back and forth like crazy but even still, this was one of my favorite Freida books so far – Ward D is also up there. 5/5
