Jane is a dog walker in an affluent Alabama suburb until she meets Eddie, a widower in the neighborhood. To Jane, it’s almost like a dream come true -he’s handsome, successful and she can get out of her dumpy apartment and move in with him. As you can surmise from the title, he’s not truly a widower because …you guessed it – his wife is upstairs. Big spoiler I know. Jane is shallow, as are most of the other characters. This book was just ok for me. 3/5
