Amelia Kelly is a people pleaser. She sets up an extravagant vacation for her family and her sisters family on an island off Australia called Mun’dai. She wants everything to be perfect when she introduces everyone to her boyfriend James. When an earthquake then tsunami hit, they’re stranded there for a bit (James didn’t make it because his flight got stuck) and these in-laws are forced to share close quarters.

This book is so descriptive – the island, the earthquake, the tsunami, everyone’s palpable fear. I loved it. 5/5
