There’s a lot of stuff going on in this book – so quick recap.

Sarah’s 21 year old step daughter Ruby is planning her wedding on Cape Cod. Sarah’s twin brother Sam was married to single mom Julie until she was killed in a car accident. Sam becomes her son Connor’s sole guardian. Their mom Veronica loves her house on the Cape and has a special bond with her granddaughter Ruby. Veronica is a published writer and I think it’s crazy that she stopped.

It wouldn’t be a Jennifer Weiner book without so.much.going.on – engagement too soon, closeted relatives, sexual fluidity, and a quiet dad who had one wild weekend. It also felt really long like Mrs Everything.

It was very similar to Family Reunion by Nancy Thayer. 3.5/5
