#1 – Winter in Paradise:

It’s New Years Day in Iowa. Irene Steele finds out her husband, Russ, died in a helicopter crash over the Virgin Islands. But she didn’t even know he was anywhere near the Virgin Islands. After traveling there, she finds out that he seemingly had another life on St. John with a local woman Rosie and her 12 year old daughter Maia. 5/5

#2 – What Happens in Paradise:

This second book picks up after Irene, Baker, Cash, and Huck make a discovery. They find out there may be more to the downed helicopter than they originally thought. We find out more about Rosie’s backstory and see things transpire with Russ from her point of view. 

Man, I really forgot how good this series is. 5/5

#3 – Troubles in Paradise:

The last book in the series is a story of resilience. It shows the resilience of the Steele family and the island of St. John. We see Irene, Baker, and Cash find their own reasons to move permanently to St. John and their relationships while there. We learn more about Russ and his shady business dealings. They also prepare for a Category 5 hurricane. 

I loved this whole series and I’m sad to be done reading about this family. 5/5
