A Predictable Romance in a Christmas Town 2/5

Camryn Neff’s mother died last year and she became the guardian of her sisters, twins Victoria and Lily. She’s also thrown into running the family business, Wrap Around the Clock. She meets with Helen Crane, the heiress to the Crane hotel. Helen mentions “Plan: Jake’s Bride,” which is her plan to find her son a wife. Oh come on. How ridiculous is this meddling mother?

River Best is a computer hacker trying to make it right after a brush with the law. Camryn forces her to come out of her shell and make friends. She puts River’s name in the running for Snow Queen, who will have personal appearances in town. Tucker is Jake’s best friend and (shocker!) meddling Helen Crane fixes the votes so Tucker becomes Snow King. I guess she’s trying to marry them both off.

This book was incredibly predictable. The best part was the charming town of Wishing Tree, Washington. The town has Christmas-y names like Navidad Mexican Cafe, Jingle Coffee, Mistletoe Mountain Resort, etc. Otherwise the book was blah.
