What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty 3.5/5

What if you forgot a decade of your life?

39 year old Alice Love wakes up after a fall at the gym. She thinks she’s 29, married to husband Nick and pregnant with their first child. She can’t remember anything from the last 10 years. She’s shocked to discover she’s in the middle of a contentious divorce. She’s also going through a difficult custody battle over 3 kids she’s never even met.

Alice has to try to regain her memory and figure out who she is now, not 10 years ago. Who she is now is an overbearing, over scheduled, go go go mom. A mom who takes on too much. For example she’s breaking the world record for biggest lemon meringue pie. With the entire town but still, why?

The book is told from the perspectives of Alice, her sister Elisabeth, and her surrogate grandmother Frannie. It was ok, not amazing. I didn’t like the ending, almost rating it a 1. But the epilogue bumped it up to a 3.5/5 so make sure you read that part!
