This is second in the Young Adult series. You may want to read Truly Devious first. Senator and presidential hopeful Edward King comes to Stevie’s parents house. He has come to convince her to go back to Ellingham Academy. We know now that he’s David’s father and he wants Stevie to help David stay on track. Chapters alternate between the present and 1936 when the original crimes occurred.

Ellie is still on the loose and Stevie still has the tin with evidence in it. Stevie and David find a secret tunnel under Minerva’s stairs. After making out, Stevie and David find Ellie dead. She must’ve suffocated in the tunnel while hiding out. Why does anyone attend this school anymore after all these deaths?? This second book was good and I’m glad we find out what happened to Iris and Alice Ellingham.
