Ted Severson meets a woman on a flight from London to Boston. After a few drinks, they decide to share secrets. Totally harmless right? Ted shares that he thinks his wife is cheating on him with their contractor. He also spills that he wants to kill her. Wow, what could go wrong? When the mystery airplane woman says she will help him, he realizes that his *plan* is already in action. Why would this mystery woman help Ted though?
Well, Lily is the mystery woman. Growing up in a tumultuous household filled with wayward guests, she has met some unsavory characters. One being Chet, an artist who stares at 13 year old Lily just a little too long. Well, Lily decides that she can take care of the “kind worth killing” and that’s just what she does.
This book could’ve been pretty straightforward and boring. BUT there were a few twists and turns so it gets a 5/5. There’s also a sequel that I can’t wait to read called The Kind Worth Saving. I really enjoy Peter Swanson’s books, minus that weird short Christmas novella a few reviews back.
5/5
