Beth is on the run from her abusive husband and has been planning it meticulously for a year. Jeffrey comes home to find his wife Sabine missing. Detective Marcus Durand is working to find them. Of course at some point these relationships tie together.

The book is told from multiple perspectives but was still pretty easy to follow. I enjoyed it. It gave Gone Girl vibes and has a few similarities.
