The book starts at Christmastime 1985. Already I love the nostalgia. All 4 partners of a law firm are killed in a plane crash. 4 *young rich widows* are left behind: Justine Kelly, Camille Tavani, Meredith Everett, and Krystle Romero.

They were all gathered for the firm Christmas party when they found out about the plane crash. Firm lawyer Vince says the firm belongs to the women now and so does all the problems. There’s a big mall deal in the works and the partners secretly invested a good amount of their personal money. If this deal falls through then the women owe some very bad people a lot of money. Even though they hate each other, they’re forced to work together when Krystle’s cokehead son gets kidnapped.

Some of this book was cheesy but it’s set in 1985 – it’s suppose to be cheesy. I loved it for that very reason. Also it’s set in Providence which was pretty cool. I loved the cover of this book with it’s upside down martini glass. Solid fun book.
