The Silent Patient book by Alex Michaelides

So this book has been everywhere for years. Chances are you’ve already read it. If you haven’t, you’ve seen it around for sure. Well I finally got around to reading it…

Alicia Berenson is a famous reclusive painter. She’s found next to her husband whose been shot and killed. Surely she’s guilty right? She doesn’t speak a word after that. Yes, she’s the *silent patient*. Theo is a psychotherapist who wants to help her. He becomes her therapist at The Grove, an old facility on its way out. He’s cocky enough to believe he can get Alicia to speak. Even though several therapists have tried for 6 years to no avail.

Meh. We can see from the beginning Theo is completely obsessed with Alicia. This makes him less credible and extremely unprofessional. The character of Alicia is boring and flat. She’s beautiful, ok that’s it. I expected WAY more from this book and it did not deliver.
