A group of girls travel to Greece for their friend Lexi’s bachelorette party or “hen party.” The so called “hens” are Lexi, Bella, Robyn, Fen, and Eleanor. Bella is Lexi’s best friend and wild child. Fen is Bella’s girlfriend. Robyn went to school with Lexi. And Eleanor is Lexi’s fiancé Ed’s sister, who is grieving her own fiancé. Bella just wants to have fun and seems annoyed when everyone isn’t on her level. Eleanor feels left out naturally because the other women have a history together.

Chapters alternate between the different gals POVs and someone else talking about them all. If I had to guess how many times they said the word “hen,” it would probably be 1,000. It was a good story about friendships. How they ebb and flow. And about girls having each others backs.
