Last Girl Ghosted book by Lisa Unger

Wren Greenwood (fake name, not a huge spoiler) survived extreme childhood trauma. Her father was a doomsday prepper who moved their family to an off the grid bunker. A bunker that was armed with enough ammo to take out a town. Wren’s father ends up killing Jay and their mom in a fit of rage but Wren manages to escape.

Years later she runs an anonymous advice column called Dear Birdie. When Wren gets ghosted by new boyfriend Adam, she has a hard time letting it go. Private investigator Bailey Kirk is hired to look into other women that were connected to Adam. They have gone missing, along with Adam. So Bailey comes asking Wren for help.

We read about Wren’s *imaginary friend* Robin, which turns out to be Wren’s real name. I feel like Robin was like a Jimmy Cricket of sorts and her own subconscious. Wren also has to deal with trying to forgive her father, knowing he’s mentally sick and in jail. Looking back, I feel bad for the dad because it’s obvious he was suffering from severe PTSD from the war.
