A young girl wakes up in a ditch and when a cop shows up she can’t remember anything. She can’t even remember her name. A man named Wayne Boone frantically shows up looking for his missing daughter. Right off the bat, this guy is very obviously not her father. Ugh, even his name is creepy. The cop on shift, Officer Bowman, does his due diligence before sending Jane Doe home with Wayne Boone. Wayne has everything that would prove this young girl is his daughter.

Hours away, Drew, a high school student, is still looking for his girlfriend who has gone missing. He feels guilty because he broke up with her right before she stormed off. He’s still looking for her 5 weeks after her disappearance. Most of the town is resigned to look for her remains.

Jane Doe tries to acclimate to her life as “Mary Boone.” Meanwhile, Drew recruits his friends to search for new leads.

I heard a lot of hype about this book and I’m happy to say it lived up to the hype. I really hope this author has more books out because I look forward to reading them.
