The Paradise Problem book by Christina Lauren

Anna Green and West get married in college just so they can get cheap family housing. Some time later West graduates and moves out.

3 years later, Anna is working at a convenience store and West is a cultural anthropology professor at Stanford. His family owns Weston Foods, which he wants nothing to do with.

West has to go to his sister’s wedding in Singapore. His family is expecting to finally meet his wife after all this time. Apparently he’s kept up this ruse for years to keep his family off his back. But he has another reason for keeping the secret. He stands to inherit $100 million but there’s some loopholes. West has to convince Anna to come with him to the wedding and pretend to be a millionaire’s wife. The problem is she has pink hair, no pants, and cereal stuck to her shirt when they reunite. The upside is she needs the money to pay for her dad’s medical bills. One would think it’s a win-win, right?

I wanted so badly to like this book. I love Christina Lauren and really loved the cover of the book. The plot and story itself were good. It’s part Pretty Woman, part Succession. I hated all the cringe romance scenes.
