Sophie O’Neill just moved to Texas with her husband Graham and son Jack. She meets Margot Banks at an event and they hit it off. More than that, Sophie becomes entranced by Margot. Somehow she finds herself doing all kinds of things she normally doesn’t.

She’s invited to go shooting with a few socialites AKA *The Hunting Wives.* Somewhere along the line, a dead body is found in the woods and Sophie is Suspect Numero Uno.

I can’t stand Sophie. She wanted to move to Texas for a slower, quieter life. Then she’s annoyed that her life is too quiet. Margot says “jump” and Sophie asks “how high?” She finds herself playing Spin the Bottle with teenagers. Like wtf are you even doing?

This is probably an unpopular opinion but I really didn’t like it. I’m watching the show now and that’s not terrible. I like the show more than the book. There are lots of differences. I don’t get the hype and I thought it was pretty predictable.
