Rosie receives a heart transplant from a woman named Daphne Thorne. About a year later, Rosie reaches out to Daphne’s husband, Morgan. They email back and forth via DonorConnect, an anonymous system.
Rosie very obviously has an obsession with Morgan Thorne. Then we realize she has an obsession with lots of men. She always dives in heart first and thinks things are maybe more serious than they actually are. Her parents and best friend Nina worry about her. It seems her goal in life is to not have her body reject her new heart. She also wants to have her own wedding photo on the mantle next to her parents and her sisters.
Rosie has pink hair and works at her parents bridal shop. She helps brides find the perfect dress. She says her ex fiancé Brad broke it off with her after she chose her own wedding dress. This job must be torture for her.
In alternating chapters, it would seem Morgan meets Rosie at a local coffee shop.
Rosie goes to Morgans house one night to confront him about concerns over Daphne’s death. She finds him dead with a knife sticking out of him. The cops say he was seeing a woman named Rosie (also with pink hair). And that he was writing a book about a woman who receives a heart transplant. So is someone impersonating Rosie? Is someone framing her for Morgan’s murder? Was Morgan only emailing with her as research for his book?
This book was stupid.
