28 year old Nora is wealthy Will Somerset’s second wife. And people love to gossip about her and the cliche that is her and Will’s life. They live in Winter Park, Florida. Will works at a law firm with partner Fritz, who is Winter Park royalty.

Nora, trying to make people forget about Will’s first wife, throws Will a lavish birthday party. The night of the party, Will takes a call from teenage daughter Mia. He goes out to the dock and seemingly disappears. Okay, here’s the weird thing. Nora doesn’t seem too concerned about Will’s disappearing act. She says he gets caught up in his work and sometimes goes awhile without contacting her. But days???? Another weird thing is that his daughter said she never called him. Okay, so who was he talking to before he disappeared?

Well, young Nora decides to play detective since she’s on the chopping block for Will’s disappearance. And when he turns up dead, she’s suspect number 1. So now she really needs to figure out who he was talking to that night.

The premise sounds good right? And it could’ve been, but it was just meh for me. I loved reading about the lives of Winter Park’s elite. And I really loved Nora’s down to earth neighbors Este and Beau. They’re rich, fun, carefree and above all they care about Nora when no one else does.
