“The Castaways” are a group of couples that do everything together. Chief Ed and Andrea Kapenash have teenage kids Eric and Kacy. Jeffrey and Delilah Drake are opposites – Jeffrey is a stoic farmer and Delilah a fun mom to 2 boys with few rules. Addison and Phoebe Wheeler are wealthy with no kids. Tess McAvoy is Andrea’s cousin and husband Greg is a musician. They have 7 year old twins Finn and Chloe.

Chief gets a call that Tess and Greg have been killed in a boating accident. Not only does this group have to deal with their grief but also with the secrets they all hold. But the most important thing is taking care of the twins.

Hilderbrand’s books are always my favorites and this one was no exception.
