Louise has a drunken kiss with a hot guy at a bar which is exciting since she hasn’t been interested in anyone for quite a while. But then she finds out this new guy, David Martin, is her new boss. And he’s married. Houston we have a problem. Just the first of many.
Days later, after dropping her son Adam to school, Louise runs into (literally runs into) a beautiful woman named Adele. They form a very fast friendship and she finds out immediately Adele is David’s wife.
She forms a relationship with them both, independent of each other. Adele doesn’t want her husband knowing of their friendship (weird) and obviously Louise can’t tell Adele she’s carrying on an affair with her husband. Even with all these issues, Louise can’t give either of them up. It’s the most alive she’s felt in a long time. A man she likes and an *actual real friend.* Well, not quite.
The more she spends time with Adele, the more David seems controlling. Adele has to be at home when he calls like 3 times a day and he makes he take certain pills.
Adele helps Louise control her chronic night terrors by teaching her about lucid dreaming. Now this is where it gets odd. And I mean like really bizarre and completely impossible. It was too crazy, even for me.
