The Beach Club by Elin Hilderbrand

Bill and Therese Elliott own The Nantucket Beach Club and Mack Petersen runs it every summer. Someone with initials SBT has been writing to Bill hoping to buy the beach club from them, with no luck.

Love O’Donnell meets Bill in Aspen and he convinces her to come to Nantucket for the summer to work the front desk. She desperately wants a baby but not a husband. She’s hoping to find that on the island. Mack’s girlfriend Maribel wants a proposal. He clearly isn’t interested.

A Class 4 hurricane threatens to hit the island and the people on it. And it does. In the end we find out the identity of the person writing to Bill is. And it’s so stupid and anticlimactic. Literally nothing exciting happened in this book. Never in my life did I anticipate rating a Hilderbrand book a 1/5 but here we are.
