Millie has been in jail for 10 years for a murder she didn’t commit. She’s finally exonerated and goes directly to identical twin sister Eve’s house. She knows Eve is actually the one who killed Joe, her own husband. Eve framed her twin sister for her husbands death. Millie had been working on forgiveness so she wanted to tell Eve face to face that she forgives her. When bitchy Eve basically slams the door in Millie’s face, Millie’s forgiveness fades away. Resentment and revenge take its place.
Not that I’m giving too much away here but Millie wants Eve’s *perfect life* and she will do anything to get it, including killing her own sister. What she doesn’t realize is that Eve’s perfect life is anything but perfect. She’s indebted to small time drug dealers Gareth (just his name is slimy) and Mya. So Millie slipped right into Eve’s life but unfortunately she slipped right into being Gareth’s drug errand girl too.
Both Eve and Millie are constantly talking out loud to themselves, which let’s face it, so do I, but reading it was odd. There was a slight twist but nothing crazy. It was a just ok, very repetitive.
