The Last to Drown

7 years ago, 15 people are brutally murdered by Kellen Stroop on a rafting trip on Camas Creek. The lone survivor is 17 year old Leo Marsden who stayed alive by hiding under his dead mothers corpse.

Now another rafting group is coming through. Kaia lost husband Parker a year or two ago on a cave exploration trip. Now tell me why would you want to keep doing your adrenaline junky thing? Wouldn’t you just want to be safe? I guess not.

At the campfire, the guides and other guests talk about The Camas Creek Murders and rumors surrounding the whole situation. Guide Allie is a moderator for a Reddit page about it. People have all kinds of conspiracy theories about these murders. But seriously, how can 1 person kill 15 people?

Welp. Some eerie things start happening such as the satellite phone goes missing. Then sure enough people start dying. One girl is stabbed her tent. That’s when all hell breaks loose and the guests and guides alike run to the rafts. But one of them is definitely the murderer but who? Who is safe to let on the raft ?

It’s basically a game of cat and mouse the whole book. The way the killer enjoys the chase and doesn’t even run like Michael Myers is creepy. And let me tell you it was super gruesome. I’ll never go on a rafting trip that’s for sure. This book was super action packed and fast paced but for the gruesome parts alone I took off a point.
