Amelia reads thrillers to try and relate more to her husband, detective Ken Sanders. She meets Casey and Mandy at a coffee shop and they invite her to join *The Dead Girls Book Club.* When Amelia shows up, they explain that they’re all dead in one way or another. And she cuts Amelia’s palm and they drink it with their tea.

While we are reading about The Dead Girls, we are also reading chapters from The Charleston Killer’s POV. Ken is obsessed with this case and working all hours. The killer seems to be taunting him. Based on what Amelia has found out about her new friends, she convinced the killer is one of them but who could it be? The killer seems to just kill abusive assholes so I’m here for it.

I flew through this book and while I do feel like the “twist” at the end was rushed, I still rated it pretty high.
