Drowning in Paper Flowers

Ruby has the same nightmare every night – basically *drowning in paper flowers.*. Ruby is married to Jack Abbott and they have teenager Millie and 7 year old Mason. Mason was kidnapped at age 3 and returned to a local diner 27 days later, seemingly unharmed.

Ivy comes from a terrible childhood in South Carolina. She sees a Twitter article about the Abbott family and sets her sights on uber successful Jack Abbott. Ivy leaves South Carolina behind and makes herself super appealing to Jack, liking all the things he likes. They start an affair that lasts 4 years.

Ivy is found dead in the Abbotts neighborhood pond and now Ruby is haunted by her ghost. Both Ruby and son Mason find sunflowers all over.

I liked all the twists and turns but couldn’t stand how mean Millie was.
