Psychiatrist Dr. Colton Hadley goes missing and his ex-wife (also a psychiatrist, also Dr. Hadley) is questioned. Rachel is asked to oversee Colton’s patients until he is found safe.

Detective Lane Archer (cool name) enlists Rachel for help listening to some of Colton’s session tapes with patients. There are 4 recordings of sessions detailing murders. When they will occur, what the victims look like, and how they will be killed. There’s no name on the recordings, just “Patient 7.” If they can figure out who Patient 7 is and how the victims are connected, they may be able to stop the 4th murder. Unfortunately 3 of the victims have already been killed.

The budding romance between Rachel and Lane was a bit distracting and borderline annoying at times.
